ASEAN Universities Festival of Arts 2011

Cultural Centre, Student Services Department of The Nationa University of Malaysia will be organizing the ASEAN Universities Festival of Arts (AUFA 2011) from 6th to 10th October 2011 at The National University of Malaysia. The theme of the festival is ‘Magical Colours of ASEAN’ in order to bring the spirit of friendship and togetherness among universities through their own unique performance arts.

The festival will be based on the proposed theme. Generally, the festival comprises of three main activities namely; (1) Workshops (2) Cultural Performances and (3) Cultural Trip. The festival program is deliberately planned to capture the essence of ASEAN cultural heritage; its influences and development in order to promote better understanding and appreciation on the ASEAN Culture. The festival would, therefore provides rare opportunity for our youths, especially those attached with arts and culture, in a way that knowledge and experiences gained from this participating would complement and be useful to their studies and personal interests.

To achieve the festival objectives, each ASEAN University will perform the traditional dance and music of their countries. Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy the show. Admission is free.
